Several great new hotels have opened in Osaka in the past few years. The luxury hotel market has seen the biggest growth with brands like Four Seasons and Autograph Collection making their Osaka debut. Here are my favorite new Osaka hotels in all budget categories as of July 2025.

Canopy by Hilton Osaka Umeda guest room
Canopy by Hilton Osaka Umeda
(View on Booking.com)
Smart comfort near Osaka Station. The Canopy is a new tower hotel in the neighborhood just north of Osaka Station and Umeda Station. It’s a short walk to the stations and it’s close to great shopping and dining. Rates are at the low end of the luxury bracket.

Hotel Resol Trinity Osaka
Hotel Resol Trinity Osaka

Japanese aesthetics at bargain rates. Located near Kitahama Station, the Resol Trinity is part of a Japanese chain that specializes in updated Japanese style and super-reasonable rates. Rooms are small but pleasant and the area is quiet. Sort of a well-kept secret among travel writers and repeat travelers, this is a solid choice in the cost/performance category.

Hotel the Flag Shinsaibashi
Hotel the Flag Shinsaibashi
(View on Booking.com or Agoda.com)
Boutique beauty in the heart of Minami. Do you want to be right in the middle of the action? Then check out the Flag Shinsaibashi. It’s just steps from the main strip of Dotombori. And because it’s a concrete structure, it’s amazingly quiet. Best of all, it’s got great boutique style and very affordable rates.

Osaka Station Hotel corner king room
The Osaka Station Hotel, Autograph Collection
(View on Booking.com)
A soaring hotel directly above Osaka Station. If you want the quintessential big city hotel experience, you’ll love the soaring views offered by the Osaka Station Hotel. On floors 29 to 38 of the new JP Tower building, it’s directly connected to JR Osaka Station. Rates are firmly in the luxury bracket.

Double Tree by Hilton Osaka Castle guest room
DoubleTree by Hilton Osaka Castle
(View on Booking.com or Agoda.com)
Good value in a quiet area. If you’re looking for a hotel with midrange rates and a peaceful location, check out the Double Tree by Hilton Osaka Castle. It’s not in one of the seething downtown hubs, but it’s very close to the Keihan Line, which will whisk you downtown in minutes.

voco Osaka Central grand king corner tatami room
voco Osaka Central
(View on Booking.com or Agoda.com)
High quality and low rates in a central location. Located in central Osaka, roughly midway between the crucial districts of Kita and Minami, the voco Osaka Central is a good choice for those looking for value. The rates hover between budget and midrange (usually closer to the latter). If you just want a clean and comfortable room while exploring Osaka, this is a great choice.

Four Seasons Hotel Osaka corner king room
Four Seasons Hotel Osaka
(View on Booking.com or Agoda.com)
Top luxury in the heart of Osaka. The Four Seasons Hotel Osaka is a strong entry into the luxury hotel market in Osaka. Occupying a tower in the Dojima district of Osaka, within walking distance of Osaka Station, the Four Seasons offers all the luxury you’d expect from this brand along with a few surprises like a floor with Japanese-style tatami mat rooms.
