Do you like craft espresso drinks? How about a casual New York-inspired vibe and American greasy spoon diner-style food and homestyle sweet treats like donuts, cheesecake, and chocolate chip cookies? Streamer Coffee Company is a great place to enjoy all of the above, while also being very child-friendly. Pets are welcome too, and the cafe even offers dog cookies!

Streamer Coffee Company is the sort of shop that knows its niche and strengths and plays to them perfectly. Its success attests to this: The chain started in 2010 in Tokyo’s street culture mecca of Shibuya, and in the decade and a half since it has expanded to more than 19 locations across Japan – plus approximately ten revolving pop-up shops and shops-in-shops.
The Space
True to its name, the Streamer Coffee Company Tenma Warehouse Shop is built in an airy, exposed concrete industrial warehouse style that fits perfectly with its trendy skateboard-hipster New York vibe. It capitalizes on this abundance of space with a broad shoes-off floor seating area taking up half of its large rear dining room – an excellent place to spend time with little ones, thanks to soft artificial grass, two mini hammocks, and a small offering of toys and activity books to keep them entertained.

The Service and Amenities
Streamer Coffee Company’s Tenma Warehouse Shop offers truly excellent English support, from the menu to its majority bilingual staff. This too fits right into the shop’s distinctive character. If you’re a homesick North American or just someone curious to take a break from Japanese traditional and check out a little slice of Japanese homegrown street cafe Americana – especially with a tot or two in tow – then look no further. Casual and fun are the name of the game here.

While Streamer Coffee Company has great seating and toy/book support for children and toddlers, it is worth noting that the bathroom is up a somewhat steep flight of stairs (through a space sometimes used as an art gallery) and offers no diaper changing stand.

The Food
Rounding out Streamer Coffee’s expansive drink menu, the shop offers a great lineup of American greasy-spoon-style diner food – including breakfast served all day.
Here too it fully commits to its niche, serving up breakfast platters, flap jacks, French toast, omelettes, subs/hoagies, grilled sandwiches, hot dogs, and desserts including milkshakes that are among some of the best you’ll find all at one place anywhere in Osaka. While all of the food on offer could easily be enjoyed by most children, there is also a child breakfast plate.
The food, like everything else in the shop, speaks to a brand vision driven by genuine love and passion. If this sounds like your cup of tea, you won’t be disappointed.

If you’ve spent enough time in Japan to find yourself hankering for authentic American-style diner food, Streamer Coffee is apt to scratch your itch. It’s also a fantastic place to enjoy craft espresso drinks and a fun, casual, child-friendly atmosphere.
Streamer Coffee Company has 3 locations in Osaka, 10 locations in Tokyo, and 1 each in Chiba, Saitama, Okayama, and Nagasaki. The information here refers to its Tenma Warehouse Shop Location.
