Like highballs? Then you’ll want to head over to the Jim Beam Bar in JR Shin-Osaka Station’s Eki Marche building for some well-made bourbon drinks. The only catch is that you’ll have to be inside the station gates between trains - perfect if you’re a passenger in transit.

Bourbon isn’t the most obvious choice of tipple when you’re in Japan, but if you don’t already like it, trying some drinks at the Jim Beam Bar might be the perfect gateway to becoming a bourbon lover.
The beverage menu here is surprisingly creative. Their bourbons are paired with fresh citruses like lemon, orange, and grapefruit for lighter, sweet cocktails; or turned into fruity jelly shots incorporating orange and coconut. The adventurous may like to try a bacon-infused bourbon highball, while those who prefer their drinks without sugar will probably prefer the Jim Beam coffee.

Naturally, there’s plenty of food to go with the drink. Think rice bowls with roast beef and a soft-boiled egg on top, garlic shrimps, and potato wedges - kind of American, but with a Japanese twist.
Strangely enough for a restaurant serving American bourbon and food, there’s not that much English on the menu. Luckily, there are enough photos for the non-Japanese speaker to point to. The Jim Beam Bar isn’t a bad place to enjoy a highball and dinner while you wait for your train.
