The DoubleTree by Hilton Osaka Castle is a solid hotel in a quiet area with great views of Osaka Castle and rates that are surprisingly low for a hotel of this class. I consider this one of the best mid-range hotel values in the city and I highly recommend it.

DoubleTree by Hilton Osaka Castle premium suite with castle view.
The DoubleTree by Hilton Osaka Castle is in a quiet neighborhood overlooking the castle and the river but don’t get the impression that the location is inconvenient: The Kiehan Line is just steps away and it will get you to Yodoyabashi Station in downtown Osaka in about five minutes.

DoubleTree by Hilton Osaka restaurant.
Rooms here are quite spacious considering the price and some of the upper-tier rooms have castle views. The restaurant and lounge also have great castle views. There’s also a pool, which is very rare, especially in this price bracket, and a good fitness center.

Being located outside the city center gets you a huge discount on hotel rates and if you don’t mind a short train ride to get downtown (or perhaps really love being able to stroll in a lovely park near the hotel), you should definitely consider the DoubleTree by Hilton Osaka Castle.
