The Canopy by Hilton Osaka Umeda is a fantastic new mid-range hotel in the Kita district of Osaka. Located in a tower about 12 minutes’ walk from Osaka Station, it’s arguably the best value mid-range hotel in the city and we highly recommend it.

Most mid-range hotels are fairly drab, but the Canopy is stylish and feels almost like a luxury hotel, at least in the common areas. Rooms are not huge, but most have good views over the city.

We love the outdoor patio, which is a nice place for a drink on a warm evening. We also like the way you can communicate easily with hotel staff via WhatsApp. So, if you’re looking for a solid mid-range hotel in the convenient Kita district of Osaka, this hotel should be on your shortlist.
