Tucked away just off the main drag of Shinsaibashi Shopping Arcade, Organic & Vegetarian Cafe Atl is a favourite with vegetarians for its reasonably-priced set meals and tasty vegan cakes. The only downside is that they’re not open for dinner - they close at 5pm.

Tucked away on the second floor of a building just off the main Shinsaibashi drag, Organic & Vegetarian Cafe Atl is a favourite with local vegetarians and vegans for their slow food offerings made with local produce. Nothing on the menu is especially surprising, but it’s reasonably tasty. Think items like bagels and hummus, curry, soups, risotto, and salads.
Customers usually enjoy the soy coffee and desserts like the chocolate cake with tofu cream or raw, nutty strawberry cheesecake. Organic & Vegetarian Cafe Atl even has a few gluten-free options here at times, which is a godsend for anyone with that particular intolerance!

The couple running Organic & Vegetarian Cafe Atl don’t speak much English, but they do have an English menu on hand to make ordering easy. Some diners might consider the place a little expensive for the portion sizes, and the pace of service here can be a little relaxed. (The emphasis on slow food perhaps betrays itself.) It might not be quite up to the standard of vegetarian or vegan offerings in places like California. Still, the food here is not bad at all given what’s available out there in Osaka. Plus, it’s centrally located, which is a real plus point!
